Iloilo’s Agri-Tourism Paradise – Ephrathah Farm
Badiangan being part of the 3rd District of Iloilo is abundant in native bamboos. People from Badiangan actually make bamboo weaving as their livelihood and source of income. Nonetheless, it is also becoming popular for the new agricultural-tourism hub in the area – Ephrathah Farm. It is awarded as the Outstanding High Value Crops Farmer in Western Visayas in 2017.
Ephrathah Farm, a 9 hectare farm at Brgy. Sariri, Badiangan, Iloilo, practices natural farming of high-value crops with 100% natural environment. Natural farming means the method of planting, cultivating and taking care of plants without the use of any chemical pesticides/herbicides and fertilizers. Produced crops are then being purchased by different institutions and food manufacturers. The farm aims to inspire people to use natural lifestyle.

Agriculture and Aquaculture
Long ago, the farm started with banana plantation but it became a disaster because a disease had penetrated and devastated the plants. Today, the farm has a large production of high-value plants such as Red Lady Papaya, Vutalao tree, Sesbania, Madre de Agua, Black and Pink Rice, Dragon fruits and Golden Cherry Tomatoes. Moreover, there’s an aquaculture production of Tilapias, Pangasius fishes, and Kois.
Activities
The place is also ideal for events like family gathering or team building because they have function halls and exciting outdoor activities. People can wander in their organic farm, go fishing or boating, take a zipline adventure, try rappelling or just explore the place using ATVs and bicycles.
Another feature of Ephrathah Farm is their unique air-conditioned glass chapel. It is perfect area for wedding, it can accommodate at least 100 persons and equipped with good audio facilities.
Hotel Amenities
They provide hotel amenities as well, for people who wanted to have an escape from city life. There are 5 Deluxe rooms with 1 queen size bed and a single bed, 3 Deluxe rooms with 1 queen size bed, 4 fully air-conditioned Dorm-type each with 14 bed space. Hotel amenities also include hot and cold shower, split type air-conditioning, cable TV and an access to an exclusive swimming pool.
Recently, Ephrathah opened a new attraction that fascinated not just locals but also tourists – Sunflower Cut and Pay. Watching the full blooms of the flowers was just opened from May to June.
